Prayer Tree; Week 23, June 5th - June 11th

This quarter we are praying for, Love, Compassion and Strength

By this we know love that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 1 John 3:16-19

“Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that we can know You love us.  You showed this love when Jesus laid down His life for us.  We thank You that the staff and teachers of the Esther House and the Women’s Empowerment Center are willing to lay down their “normal” lives to serve these women.  They have seen the need and opened their hearts, which shows that God’s love abides in them.  Thank You that they are not loving in only word or talk but in deed and in truth.  Let this show the residents and students that these teachers and staff are of the truth, and let this reassure all of their hearts before You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

  Week 23: June 5 - 11

When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things. Mark 6:34

“Dear God, I thank You for Your love and compassion for the crowds who do not know You, who wander lost and unprotected.  I pray for the staff and residents of Esther House and the teachers and students and staff of the Women’s Empowerment Center, that those who know You will be compassionate and teach many things to those who do not yet know You.  I pray for those lost ones, that they will recognize their need for You, that Your Holy Spirit will draw them to You, as the shepherd voice draws his sheep.  Help all of us to remain teachable throughout our lives.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.’’

Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer because as we know…..PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!
