Prayer Tree; Week 14 , April 3rd through April 9th
Dear Prayer Partner,
We are excited about the things God has planned for the Esther House, Women’s Empowerment Center, the staff and volunteers and the ladies that God has appointed to benefit from this ministry. As we continue into 2011, we realize without the direction of God, we can do nothing but with God all things are possible.
Thank you for agreeing to pray for Esther House March 3rd - April 9th.
Our desire and prayer is to hear clearly the direction God would have us move and then move with boldness in that direction, touching more lives than we have ever touched before.
I have enclosed an overall scripture and prayer for this quarter, a scripture and prayer for your specific week as well as special prayer request for the ministry.
This quarter we are praying for, Love, Compassion and Strength
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 1 John 3:16-19
“ Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that we can know You love us. You showed this love when Jesus laid down His life for us. We thank You that the staff and teachers of the Esther House and the Women’s Empowerment Center are willing to lay down their “normal” lives to serve these women. They have seen the need and opened their hearts, which shows that God’s love abides in them. Thank You that they are not loving in only word or talk but in deed and in truth. Let this show the residents and students that these teachers and staff are of the truth, and let this reassure all of their hearts before You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Week 14: April 3 - 9
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Corinthians 13:4-7
“O God, let Your love be seen and felt at Esther House and the Women’s Empowerment Center. Help the staff/residents and teachers/students/staff at each to be patient and kind, not envious or boastful, to be humble and polite. Help them all not to insist on their own way or be irritable or resentful. Let them not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoice together with the truth. Let Your love make them able to bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things. Thank You for Your love and help, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer because as we know…..PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!
Blessings,
Kelly Guffey, President
