May Class Schedule for Esther House Women’s Empowerment Center

Bible Reading: Reading through the New Testament
When: Tuesdays - Thursdays 8:00am - 8:30am
Description: We are reading through the New Testament.

Bible Study: Daniel, Beth Moore
When: Monday 8:00am – 10:00am (Video and Discussion)
Description: This study is going to push, motivate, challenge, encourage, and grow you in the knowledge of God’s Word. I encourage any woman who is looking for a way to connect with other ladies and grow spiritually to join this study. 

Bible Study: Daniel, Beth Moore
When: Tuesdays - Thursdays 8:30am – 9:30am (Daily Homework)
Description: Tuesday – Thursday we will be discussing the daily lessons. I encourage you to attend if you can, however, you could follow the study on your own through the week after watching the video session on Monday.

Computer Classes
When: Monday and Thursday 10:00-12:30
             Tuesday 10:00-2:00 (Lunch break from 12:30-1:00)
Description:  We will take a look at Computer Fundamental, Windows Fundamentals, as well as Office Fundamentals. The skill level of the class will determine how deep we explore into each topic.

Introspect: Fruit of the Spirit
When: Monday 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Description: We will be looking at the Attitudes, Actions, and Applications of the Fruit of the Spirit. We will be referencing A Woman’s Walk with God, Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit.

Focus Support Group: Boundaries, Cloud- Townsend Resources
When: Tuesday 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Description: Boundaries is a unique journey of spiritual growth, of challenge to change, of problem solving, of recovery, of hope. Offering practical help and encouragement to all who seek a healthy, balanced life, Boundaries presents insight and wisdom for those seeking to deal with their inability to say no.

GreifShare: Support Group for Individuals Grieving the Loss of a Loved One
When: Tuesdays 6:00pm
Description: GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel..
GriefShare will help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements: Video Seminar with Experts, Support Group Discussion with Focus and Workbook- Based Personal Study and Reflection.

Parenting Class
When: Wednesday 10:00am – 12:30am
Description: If you are a lady who needs encouragement in the area of child rearing this class will help. You will learn techniques that will help you feel more in control of your parenting skills. We will help you lay out a plan that will work for you and your children.

Single Mom Support Group
When: Thursdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Description: We will be using material from, Do you Know Who I Am by Angela Thomas. In her book Do You Know I Am? Angela asks God if He knows her- and ultimately, does He love her, as she is right now, today. In each chapter, she names a different identity issue, such as: “Do you know I am trembling inside?” and “Do you know I am worn out?” With each honest admission, Angela teaches that God lovingly replies,” Yes, I know your heart. I see your struggle. Now…do you know who I AM!”
This is a support group for any single mom who would like to share and interact with other women who understands the day to day pressures and challenges of being a single mom.

TEEN FOCUS: This class is for teen girls, ages 13-18
When: Thursdays 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Description: Teen Focus deals primarily with relationships. We will address three basic areas that are foundational to the development of teens as they relate to others and to God. The process of understanding relationships begins with an understanding of the teens self-concept. If a teen is confident in who they are and in their relationship to the Lord, they will have the ability to makes better choices and decisions. 
We will also be looking at healthy relationships, how to identify unhealthy relationships, how to set healthy boundaries, and practical steps to stop an abusive relationship.
